| So here I am. I've been a resident of the
DC area since 1984 - - over half my life. I know
what's good and what's bad in the DC area, but not
everyone does. That's why I've assembled these links.
From here you can see what others
have assembled as their all in one DC sites,
see what touristy things there are to do, see what our
malls are like, and find out what's of local interest.
If I were to spend 1 week in DC and I'd never been here before... I'd go see touristy things (museums, the White House, the Capitol, etc.) for 3-4 days, and experience the rest of the DC area (Georgetown, Adams Morgan, the malls, the ethnic foods, etc.) for the remainder of the time. You will defintely not see everything you want to see -- there's simply too much to do!! |

Montgomery Mall - 2nd Best in the area. Best eatery around! Tysons Galleria - Beautiful, but its boutiques are pricey! The Reston Town Center - A very cool local shopping area near my house! Potomac Mills Mall - Outlet stores galore!! Plan on an all day affair...
Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets - a great, new outlet mall challenger Dulles Town Center - It'll be better when it's finished. Fair Oaks Mall - Still playing catchup
White Flint Mall - Better known as the home of the Cheesecake Factory and Dave & Busters. Ballston Common Mall - About to get a much-needed facelift. Landmark Mall - Good, but in an older part of town. Springfield Mall - Tysons south. Lakeforest Mall - Yawn... Not worth the trip. |
