I just came back from Detroit, MI. My grandmother
passed away this past weekend and we had gone up for the funeral. It
was really well done; respectfully, somberly, and honorably. Most befitting
of her memory. It was also great to see all my relatives who had come
in for the funeral, although we wish it were under more pleasant
circumstances. We're all ok, but these experiences just have a way
of making you think.

We just got back from New York City last night. We were there
taking some pictures for our wedding. You will be able to
see these pictures whenever you're down here, and I
think they're going to turn out to be awsome! We were very
worried that it was going to rain, since the weathermen had
been threatening it all day, but we finished our outdoor shoot
just in time...
-
Both Kristin and I now have videoteleconferencing cameras, so anytime
you want to hold a videoconference with us, let us know and we'll
work somthing out... Isn't technology great?!?!?!

Well, that was a long pause! I guess when you're busy, you're
busy!! Hope your taxes are finished too. Here goes... Alice
and I have been working on getting things all ready for
the wedding. We are not done, but getting really close. Not
much time left now.
-
Kristin is finishing up her sophmore year, and went with her cheerleading
team to the State Championships, where the top 40 teams in the
state competed. They looked really good, but were not able to pull
off a victory... The good news is that nearly the entire team will
return next year!
-
Mom and Dad are fine, and they are getting equally as excited about the wedding.
-
I was out in Salt Lake City, Utah at my company's premier technical
conference in March,
Brainshare. It
was a grueling week of being innundated with technical
info. Alice flew out the weekend after and we did
some sightseeing. Ask her what she thinks of that place.
-
I've just signed a contract to have a deck
built on to my townhouse, so we can enjoy it when
everyone's in town!! I can't wait.
-
Cross your fingers and say a prayer for my Grandma.

Happy New Year!! There was a great New Years Eve party at Kevin's
house... Why weren't you there?
Christmas this
year was also fun. Overall, the holidays have gone by way too fast.
I can't believe I have to go back to work tomorrow. Also, Kevin
and Alice are gearing up to continue taking dance lessons. They've
already taken a beginning ballroom dance class and are now going to
take a "wedding dancing" class that teaches a variety of things needed
for a wedding. I guess we'll see just how good they are come July...

Kevin and Alice just returned from a short visit to New York City. We
went to visit a friend (Linda), see Les Mis (again), get Alice's Chinese
dress altered, eat tons of Chinese food, and find a studio photographer for
wedding portraits. Missions accomplished.

We celebrated mom's birthday (11/21) at Philipps Restaurant at the DC Marina.
All you can eat seafood buffet, and we naturally ate til we exploded!!
Mom, Dad, Kevin, Kristin, Eric, Eric's friend Karen, Alice, Uncle George,
Aunt Nue, Theresa, Linda, and Wayne were there. With a little luck,
I'll have some pictures to post from the event. Keep watching this
space!
-
Kristin also announced that she made the Varsity Cheerleading Squad at school.

We celebrated Kevin's birthday (10/24) at home with a surprise birthday party,
that Kevin knew about and helped decorate for (a long story). Anyways,
fun was had by all. When I get a chance to scan some pics in from the
party, they will be here.
